Jane Dough

The Magic Behind it All

At Cottage Crumbs & Crafts, every loaf begins with something simple, handmade, and just a little bit special—Jane Dough.

She was born in January 2025 in my cottage kitchen, made from flour, water, and a hopeful “let’s see how this goes.” What started as a small experiment quickly became the heart of everything I bake today.

Jane Dough is the “crumbs” in Cottage Crumbs & Crafts—bringing naturally developed flavor, a perfect tang, and that signature sourdough texture to every loaf. She’s bubbly, a little high-maintenance, and thrives on a steady routine (honestly, same). No commercial yeast here—just slow fermentation, patience, and a little everyday magic

From my cottage kitchen to your table, Jane Dough is at the center of it all—bringing together simple ingredients, handcrafted techniques, and a love for sharing something truly special… with a name that’s just as memorable as the bread.

James and Katie Cannon

Owner - Head Baker

Hello and welcome to our little bakery. We are James and Katie Cannon. What started as a love for baking at home quickly turned into a passion for creating beautiful, handcrafted bread and baked goods to share with my community. I specialize in naturally leavened sourdough, made with simple ingredients, long fermentation, and a whole lot of care.

Every loaf is mixed, shaped, and baked right here in my home kitchen in Palm Bay, Florida. My goal is to bring a little bit of that cozy cottage feeling to your table — whether it's a crusty sourdough loaf for dinner, soft sandwich bread for the week, or a sweet treat to share with family.

At Cottage Crumbs & Crafts, everything is made in small batches to ensure quality, flavor, and freshness. When you order from me, you're supporting a local cottage bakery and getting bread made the old-fashioned way: slowly, intentionally, and with heart.

Thank you for supporting our small business and being part of this journey. I can’t wait to bake for you!
